Isnt funny.

I think its popular because of critics and because its ok for people with short attention spans.Sketch based comedy is for spazzers. Its time it stopped.

Can you honestly say you have laughed at one of these in the same way as you would if one of your mates fell over or if an old lady dropped her shopping?

On average in an 1/2 hour sketch comedy I laugh once and thats not really a laugh its a smirk of mild amusement.

Liitle Britian- crap
Fast Show -crap
Mitchell and Webb-crap
Morcambe and Wise-crap

Well its watchable, not really crap but just not funny.A bit like watching the adverts.

Maybe im a humourless bastard but i know im right.

The Fast Show was decent enough, as was Harry Enfield before it.  A large part of the Mary Whitehouse Experience was sketches, and of course there is Monty Python(I only think certain bits were funny but alot of people love it).

I doubt a sketch show could ever be one of the truely great comedies, still if you can get even a few laughs out of something then it's already better than most of the tripe on the box.

Can't beat a bit of Hale and Pace

I think the worst has to be 'The Sketch Show' that really made me want to cut my eyes out with sand.

I don't find i laugh properly at anything other than stand-up comedy. most sitcoms don't make me laugh out loud, same with sketch shows.
