Thing is, there's little wrong with our back line. I think we missed Smith today (Shakes did a job today, but he's clearly not as good as smith there). It's the midfield & attack that were crap today. Evans was dissapointing today, for me. yeah, but our defence didn't help the midfield get in to the game with lobng abll after long ball. and i still think brezovans dodgy. |

I've not been impresse dby Ince so far at all. He looks unfit and off the pace. Hopefully he'll improve when he gains match fitness. As othrs have said Roberts looked like he did of old with little effort. However this might be the way he plays when we are losing as this was the case most of last year.

Thus Shakes is the next best option and doing an okay covering job - but he's not a RB, but who else is there until Smith is fit? |

People dont give Brown enough credit, purely because of the situation at the beginning of the season. I think some peoples opinions are biased towards him, but realisticly he was one of the better players today, you only noticed him for the bad things he does instead of the good. Sorry but the start of the season stuff's got nowt to do with it, if you look back far enough I'm pretty sure you'll find posts of mine stating he was poor last season as well. Personally I dont rate him, simple as. |

The defence punted it forward too much, because the midfield didnt come looking for it....which meant they couldnt spread the play to the wingers, who couldnt get into the game and supply the crosses for the strikers...one of which put in exactly 0 effort.
