A large group of them (60) turned up outside the stadium dressed in Black.
That's part of the Red Army, most people know that Man Utd are a nasty bunch especially Away from home.

That's part of the Red Army, most people know that Man Utd are a nasty bunch especially Away from home. Some of their firm call themselves the men in black, and a large proportion of there away support like to wear black as opposed to club colours. Because they're written from the security stewards perspective they are very biased(hence the man city bit). The problem they have with United fans is the drink culture and persistant standing, which they will never stop unless they ban them all. Some clubs see it as a convenient excuse to give home fans more tickets I'm sure. The West Brom incident was caused by them shutting some turnstyles so they could get the sniffer dogs on everyone for drugs. When asked if they were doing it for every team, a steward told my friend it was only for 'drug-addled supporters like United and Everton'.

I think the standing culture thing is quality. Its a clear statement of intent, and its become so ingrained as a culture at United now that the authorities will never beat it. Other teams fans who think they have better support than United (liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle) have been made to look mugs by United. And they have started to all stand up away also. It might force a debate into the subject.
As for the drugs, thats tough shit. You get searched going into football grounds. And if you have knives or drugs then you get whats comming to you.
As for that steward, sounds like calling a spade a spade to me. Everton and United do have the least fammily orientated away supports in the country. Young lads are more likely to have drugs than anyone else.
