Lawrie Sanchez never liked him and summed up the worst of that bad batch.

One of my friends described him as a "Swindon Town legend" a couple of weeks ago.  We nearly bundled him for that.

It just goes to show that you realy don't need too much talent in football to get on.

Nicky Hammond is a classic case.

Crap keeper that went to wooden club in more than one way.

Next thing we know he's got a chairman with a bottomless wallet and hes Director of Football at a PreM Club!

There's hope for us all!!!

Got to disagree with Keith Scott. There's been far worse.

Not the greatest talent granted, but always put in a good effort, and scored a reasonable number of goals considering the quality of opposition he was up against in the prem.

Remember away at Peterborough in about 92-93?

3-2 up and in the last minute Hammond spooned a kicked clearance 10 yards in front of him for the Posh lad to sidefoot home for an equaliser!

That was classic. Tony Adcock?

Isn't that also the game where Shaun Taylor scores 2 goals for us, in addition to 1 own goal (which looked like it was due to Hammond not shouting that he was coming to collect)?
