The new law is somewhat stupid, you have to sit in one until you are 11 or reach a certain height apparently

The law is there to stop children from getting killed.
Inconvenient perhaps...not stupid.
Just because its new doesnt mean its wrong

Yeovil, frankly most people will ignore it, alot of people will struggle to raise the money for these seats etc. and you can't just wrap the public in cotton wool.
My youngest brother is probably touch and go on height. I've now got to get a £145 car seat to sit him in to run him to his mates after he gets in from school. Fucking ridiculous.

Word on the web is you can just use a cushion Dave and it's not applicable "if the child is travelling a short distance for reason of unexpected necessity".

Tell him to walk. I'm sure the paedos lurking outside with a packet of sweets won't mind.

why don't they just make the seat belts in the backs of cars adjustable like they can the front ones when a short arss uses it.

If you're paying £145 I reckon you might be getting done. Can't you get them in woolworths or boots or somewhere for a tenner? It sort of makes sense, seat belts don't work very well for kids under a certain height.
