has anyone been watchin Big Ron Manager??
The Posh manager opted to sign Lloyd Opara ahead of Ex Villa Striker Stefan Moore who has Premiership goals to his name!! Ron said to Barry Fry 'has anyone at the club seen Lloyd play in a game?' To which Barry Fry replies 'No' :-))(

He seemed to have lost the dressing room already. I pissed myself at the Opara signing

The issue with the Morre/Opara signing was that Peterborough couldn't really afford Moore - we'd just been subjected to Fry saying how he was close to losing his house, then Ron suggests a player who will cost a small fortune.

Bleaso - Steve Bleadale was the manager wasn't he? When he took them to that factory to show them how the average person has to work for a living, probably sounded like a good idea on paper.
The bloke was out of his depth, although Ron is stuck in the 80's.

I'm gutted I can't watch the Big Ron series.
My initial thoughts upon seeing the demise of the posh manager was thank fuck Iffy got rid when he did or we could have been in a much worse state than we ended up in..
But the above comments suggest that Steve Bleasdale was a muppet and had already lost it...
The question now arises - would the season have turned out any differently if Big Ron had stuck around? I doubt there would have been much positive impact, especially if he undermined Iffy... but you never know what influence a man with his experience could have had.
It's interesting because I now consider relegation to league 2 to be the best thing to happen to this football club in the past few years... what if Big Ron had stuck around, we'd survived the drop and the we spent the next few years languishing towards the bottom of league 2.. I can't help but think that the club is going in the right direction now and hopefully we'll be able to escape league's 2 and 1 in the near future

Thing is we never see all of what went on. It's TV. They edit it how they want.
Bleaso comes over a knob though.

Big Ron will never say anything about football that your old senile uncle Arthur couldn't think up. Fact.

The bloke was out of his depth, although Ron is stuck in the 80's. The trouble with the factory visit was that most the people there were just pissing around and weren't working hard at all! Agree that Bleasdale's limit is probably Unibond division 1 and Big Ron is way, way past his sell by date. He should just go to Barbados and not come back.

so pleased Big Ron never came to Swindon - would have made us look like a laughing stock like it has peterborough. To be fair thoiugh Fry looks to have turned things around in appointing Keith Alexander... but you can see why he did it, the financial problems they/he had... fair play to barry fry - puts his money where his mouth is.
