The Enigma of Kasper Schmeichel.......Werner Herzog.
The wonder of wikipedia is that I can look up stuff reg has said that I don't understand, read a bit about it and then use this new found information to seemingly make a knowledgable response. I feel that the whole research skill involved cancels out the cheating element and it means I'm learning something new all the time.
In this case for example I looked up Werner Herzog and find out that "His films often feature heroes with impossible dreams or people with unique talents in obscure fields." I presume this would be our lovable ghost Kasper Schmeichel.
I then look a bit further down and note that he wrote and directed Stroszek, the film that Ian Curtis watched before he hung himself.
I digest these interesting facts and come up with a reply. Safe in the knowledge that nobody else knows that I didn't have a fucking clue who Werner Herzog when I first read Reg's post. Well up to now anyway.
Anyhoo after all that I still think some sort of semi-witty reply is in order, just need to go and check what the fuck reg had said to start off with...
If only Ian Curtis had decided to watch that instead.See that's not bad, it has a nice of cryptic arrogance quality, it says that I know what I'm talkling about and you really should aswell. With the inclusion of Ian Curtis I've made a link to someone who is more likely to be on people's radar of knowledge (ooh knowledge radar, I like that), generally doing a service to the whole forum.
Anyhoo, I hope you've had as much fun reading this as I have writing it. My thanks go out to Ra the mighty sun god and his sons Jesus and Moses. I really should be sleeping but it's not happening at the moment. I blame terrorists. How can anybody sleep since 9/11? If you've read this far you're a fucking idiot. Haha I just read the whole thing again to see if it makes sense. It doesn't but I'm going to press the submit button anyway. Wahoo. Oh and I just bolded the actual reply so you don't have to read all the shit.
