Odd how our most economical bowler....namely Monty isn't picked.....bit like how Mark Butcher never got picked despite being an aggressive  batsman, a decent bowler and not the worst fielder.

I'm not surprised Monty hasn't been picked,some players seem to be labeled rightly or wrongly as test players only,its a shame, we haven't got anything to lose by playing him.Broad 's in the squad and the bloke hasn't even stopped growing yet,the freak Wink

but look at dalrymples economy in the sl series when everyone else was getting spanked

its not the economy from a spinner we're going to miss but the wickets monty might provide, particularly if gough is back opening the bowling as we will have the worst opening bowler in ODIs across the world

I once saw Rikki Clarke having a crafty fag whilst stood in a ice-cream queue,the naughty man.I think he's an ok player tbh,and frankly our shite form in odis means i'm willing to see anyone half decent given a chance.
