I wouldn't be surprised to find that he's signed already and Dennis will anounce to Ed Hadwin in Saturdays post match interview. If it comes off

Anyone got any idea why Ince didn't sort his situation out earlier? Did he not fancy pre-season training or something?

I reckon he must've been banking on the Wolves job, otherwise he definitely would've found a club so he could do a proper pre-season.

Paul Bodin was on the radio this morning and he said it now looks unlikely he will sign for us.
If he was going to, surely he would have done it by now as it is 3 days since he trained with us....who else is he going to try out?

I am still a bit optimistic though, hence the new avatar  Cool

Oh well. Whatever will be will be.

Wise said after the Darlo game he will be back on Thursday for another training session and we will know by Friday,

The way this is going we won't get a decision before the end of the season!!

Although I'm intrigued as to why he'd come and train again on Thursday if he wasn't planning to sign?  He's already been down for one training session - surely he would have got a decent idea of the club / players / set up etc?

Who needs him anyway - top of the league, we're having a laugh!!!  Beers

I've got a hunch he'll sign on Monday. I'm sure it's misplaced optimism but I've got a hunch nonetheless...

It's a bit farsical that it's taken this long to make a decision. I'm not bemoaning the club here, I'm just suprised that he hasn't put various temas out of there misery.

it does seem to have dragged on long enough but I suppose you have to consider that this is a HUGE decision for him personally

Misplaced optimism Mr H - from the official website:-

Paul Ince is to return to Swindon for training on Thursday, with Dennis Wise expecting an answer later this week as to the midfielder's future.

Talking to the media after Saturday's victory at Darlington, Wise revealed that former England teammate Paul Ince is to return to the club for another training session on Thursday.

"Incey is coming training again next Thursday but I am sure we will know by Friday what his answer will be.

"The press got a sniff of it a little bit earlier than expected so it came out, but we would like to sign him and it would be nice to take him on board with us, whether he does or not we will have to wait and see."

Looks very clear to me that we'll know nothing certain before Friday, but keeps your hopes up for a press conference then. Come on Guvnor, you know you want to join the Wise revolution  Wink
