This thread reminds me of my solution for traffic congestion. Anyone who doesn't pass first time is disqualified from using the roads for life. The shortfall in relevant taxes will be bridged by the "failed to pass first time" drivers tax. Seems fair enough to me. Sade, don't be wound up by it. Go faster and stop causing a public hazard . Practical test now booked. Not saying when, but if I pass it will be in time for the Wycombe game (Johno will actually be praying for me to pass now)

Good luck R4E. In all honesty I reckon many pass or fail cases come down to luck!

Mine was 7 weeks and that was quite low! Taking it in Chippenham. Nowadays it seems quite common to get a retest about 2 weeks away

 Should be booking my theory soon. My driving is going fairly well. But I keep lifting the clutch up too quickly when pulling away! I seemed to of improved yesterday although I nearly stalled (typically) when a car full of lads that I knew drove past me slowy and tooted and shouted stuff.Buggers.

:chunder: Congratulations R4E. I’ve got my 2nd attempt a week on Friday. I really wished I’d done it as a youngster now but being on the move a fair bit and spunking cash on travelling and beer didn’t really leave much left over for driving. Having been chauffeured around quite so much I now find myself drifting off into passenger mode while driving and getting distracted by anything and everything except the road.
