Mine were so far back, it was a different century.....my young un got his today, he passed the computing course he'd been doing, although doesn't seem to know the name of what he's been studying these last 2 years, but its worth 3 A levlels in the points system. That would be a BTEC National Diploma then? I do one of them, so no results for me until next year. That would be the one....its full title is something like BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners. That is what I have, it was the advanced one, equivalent to 3 A levels grade A- C. :shock: I had brains once |

i need them to get into uni you fat freak. So? If you dont get the grades you need to go to one uni, you go to another one instead. meeeeh. Same point will apply. In a few years no-one will care what uni you went to - or to an extent what course you did, unless like i said you have something specific in mind for a career. I think you couldn't be further from the truth. As more go to uni then the uni you go to will matter more. The course can be irrelevant most of the time though, even with a specific career. In fact it was pointed out to me when I started my course that choosing Accounting & Finance to go into an accounting career was a bit of a silly option. If I got a 2:2 it would have been very difficult to get a job in accounting. Whereas if I did an easier course like management science I could have still gone into accounting. Luckily I got my 2:1. Good luck to those getting their results and well done to those who already have. |

Can always give Cardiff a ring and see if they'll accept you anyway. Worked for me with Warwick - I needed AAB and a 2 in a STEP paper and only got AAAB and a 3 in the STEP paper, but they let me in anyway.
Glad they did cos it's a much better uni than my second choice, Bath.

Cardiff is a good uni, I'm quite sad to be leaving soon. A few of my mates here got in despite not getting their grades, they have a reputation for being quite flexible, so I reckon its definitely worth giving them a call.
