I'd better starty the official yeah but one good game won't cut it thread
bollocks mate his whole attitude has changed and he is putting in 100% effort.although i have a feeling you were joking

no, it's not bollocks

yes he was excellent tonight but he has to show it's a long term effort, not a flash in the pan over 180 minutes

if you're happy to draw concrete conclusions after 2 games then good on you. i'm not because we know there that could get us.
thats fair enough...but remember i have only seen him play two games

Does this work the other way round as well? As in players starting badly and then performing well? Maybe Pook will prove your "concrete conclusions" wrong!?!

I don't think he can cut league football tbh though, he's just not intelligent enough with the ball. He has the slowest reaction times I've ever seen

each time a long ball found him, from Big Pete at the back or elsewhere, his control was sublime. A completely changed man...last year he probably had two balls coming for him each time to be fair.

My mate turned to me ten minutes from the end and couldn't believe it when he saw Roberts sprinting and putting a challenge in down by their fans...ran his socks off and could rip this league apart and cuase all sorts of problems Soapy Tit Wank

But the thing is though, Roberts hasnt JUST played excellent in the first two games, he was excellent all through pre-season! Yeah yeah it isnt as competitive as league/cup football, but it goes to show he's willing and determined to do well for this club, despite whether its in a friendly or competitive game!

Good on Robbo, i say!

I thought both Roberts and Peacock were proper ace last night.

I still hate the fact that Peacock has to keep tracking back and winning headers in the centre of the park that the midfield should be winning.

Quick. clever, creative, and never stopped running, what a revelation, really hope he can keep it up.

I disagree Dave, just from looking at Roberts you can see the difference already.  Full of running, switched on the Barnet defence didn't know what to do with him last night.  I think against other defences he'll win us a bundle of free kicks/penalties this year.

Also how come we can't say Roberts looks great (after two games) when we all seem happy to say Brezovan's a great keeper (after one).
