Weston's skill is a much better asset than his weakness that's for sure

Having watched the Palace game I am convinced the ability is there to go up.

It is just a case of performing properly and at 100% throughout the year, which is so often the undoing of STFC.
Hartlepool are probably ONE OF the better teams in this league so an away win all the way up there is as encouraging as the away support was! We just have to be tight defensively and I am sure with the Robocock partnership we can be clinical up front.

Tonight is a game we should win no matter how good Barnet are. If they play well i will accept whatever the result is but I would expect 3 points if in DW's position

Never judge anything by a pre-season friendly R4E....last season we started poorly, by losing at Barnsley, and then put in a somnambulant performance v Oldham, but could have snatched a draw by the time the players woke up.

We could very easily have gone down by 3 or 4 V HPool....so we've much to do before becoming a dominant force. One aspect of recent years has been the players unable to get up for a game which has a bit of pressure on it ......even at this early stage this is such a match.

I do see your point and accept it, but some of the vision and skill shown in that game was very good. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to reproduce it in the league.

Well the reason is pressure you need to become battle hardened, so you know how to respond in difficult situations.....

Its something that has to run from the individuals into the team, so that the players implicitly trust their team mates.....we still have a nucleus of last seasons players, who are soft, when the going gets tough.....they're not up to it.

This can change, but I'll need to see hard evidence of say 15-20 games, before being convinced.

Hmm, no substitute keeper and 3 strikers on the bench. Interesting.....
