now pre-season is all but out the way and the season starts fo' sho', what event/signing/moment of this pre-season has given you the most satisfaction?
i've been harping on for the past few years on this board and thisis that we need a solid midfielder, somebody to sit in front of the back four, get stuck in, work hard and keep things simple.
now we've got wise and evans and possibly even paul ince. it's just a shame we didn't put in a bid for patrick veira, he left juve on the cheap.

I passed my exam I took in mid July, was well happy with that.

The club’s rejuvenation off the pitch.
I’ve not been to any pre-season so I’ll leave the football side of it all off the menu but the noises, positive forward thinking coming out of the club has been quite simply different class.
Everything from the official statements to the professional way the transfers have all been conducted is in complete contrast to 12 months ago.

Getting Bill Power off the pitch to run things could be the most significant thing as I feared the club would fold when the CVA is due. I guess that was before pre-season though.
Pre-season. It has to be the professionalism. It seems we are being prepared properly for the new season in terms of training. Iffy took a massive step up in this from Kingy, but Wisey has taken it to the next level altogether.
Also a big name at the club means maintained levels of season ticket holders following relagation.
On the pitch - fitrness/sharpness should mean we come out the blocks running. A consistant system of playing will help. Was nice we tried toplay it around rather than hoofball but preseason games mean nothing really.

Curtis Weston Id agree with that along with Ricky Shakes work levels, fitness and development in comparison to how he was last season.

I have a lot of respect for Ricky and encouragement. Him and CCP dropped from Bolton to Swindon under poor management and in a club that seriously needed rejuvenating.
With Wise's new encouragement I think Ricky will flourish and I can see the difference in him already.

On the quiet I am excited about the progress, but it all counts for nothing if we can't sort it out on the pitch results wise. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
And to be fair it was a fucking hard exam.
