The last "formal" event was that the Council's Task Group told the club that their proposals were unacceptable, or at least that the heavy reliance on housing for capitalisation and handover of council land to build the housing on was unacceptable. This followed on from the Sports Minister saying pretty much the same thing and really was just the formal death knell for proposals that were widely accepted as being dead in the water at that stage.
So, formally, the council are waiting for the club to respond to that. Informally, we (ie the Trust) are working with club and council to try and establish what would be an acceptable set of proposals to all parties.
And to forestall the next "What's taking so long?" question, bear in mind that since late April (when the Task Group gave their formal response) all parties have had distractions - the council have had elections and a change of leader and other key personnel, the club have had a boardroom and management shake-up (not to mention relegation) to contend with etc etc. Hopefully though things are starting to move again now.
Does that help?

I'll lend you an empty can of Stella and an elastic band. I don't know how that would help you build a stadium, but it could make a great experimental musical instrument. On second thoughts that would be such an ace thing to borrow, I could not part with it.

Does anyone have an update on the stadium. Just this seems to drag and drag on. The last set of proposal hit the buffers, as SBC don't want any more development than on the existing site, the club can't afford anything without developing beyond the site, so its back to the drawing board.... ....whether anything will be found on the board apart from some paper and sliding rulers, is debatable.
