Thought I'd enter a freeroll for some practice because I hadn't played for months.

Finished 6th/2000 but only won $5, like I said more for practice than anything. Played a pretty flawless game until the final table where I was leading and called when someone went all in. I had 3 A but he had pkt 3 which made the full house, thought he had the same as me, oh well.

Still, definitely helped me get back into the swing of things

Very nice work Si! Crap payout, how long were you playing for? My best effort remains at 8th/1,600+ in a $1 entry tourney, which paid out about $50. Still funding my poker vice 3 months later.....

On a slight tangent, have you been watching Pokerface with Ant 'n' Dec? Bit of a slow-burner, but gets pretty good towards the end. £1m final on Sunday should be ace

Well I'm off to bed anyway. Might try and turn that $5 into something more tomorrow. I've just made a dollar playing a couple of mins on a ring table, but I'm too knackered to carry on. G'night.

I've been playing a lot of poker recently, made about $200 at ladbrokes at the 5-10c no limit tables but they've got rid of them now which is annoying so I have to play at 10-20c which has much better players, also made about $80 at noble poker.

I've just been playing the $0.25-0.50 limit tables. If you find a loose table you can win quite a bit that way.

Got up to $47, cashed out $37 for beer money and have now got the remaining $10 up to $25. Hopefully the beer fund will keep getting replenished

I don't like limit, only play no limit. I like to have plenty of money in my poker account 'cos you can get some big swings with no limit so I have about $300 that I use to play 10-20c. Lost $25 on friday, won $35 today.

I just had a hand where some idiot reraised me all in with nothing when i had pocket aces and then claimed the site was rigged no question when he lost.

Where are you playing. I've tried a lot of sites, poker stars seems fairly tight, probably has the best players, ladbrokes is full of people who don't like to fold and will call big bets, so you can get some very bad beats but win a lot from really strong hands. Noble poker seems similar to ladbrokes but a bit tighter, players aren't any better though.

Also tried playing at world poker exchange because they give you all your rake back which is a nice bonus, players aren't too bad there though.

Ha.
Some idiot went in to a hand with 6D 8D with raises pre-flop and wondered why he got beat by my nice full house. There were 2 aces on the board and the way I was betting made it obvious I had bettered his flush. He then lost it real bad  Shocked

I'm back down to $20 now though. The thing about limit poker is if you play it right, you can really spot the fish and make money. BUt like all poker it can go horribly wrong.

Do things seem a bit strange when you're sober Ben?
