Bit of a shock, after a really successful WC campaign, you'd have thought he'd want to carry on. The German public love him, and even his harshest critics pre-WC have been swayed. Would be very odd if he didn't go into another (very lucrative) coaching role soon....

I'm personally not that surprised. Had a lot of shit from the German public and media pre-tournament and probably wants to go out on a high. There hasn't been too much scope for bringing players in through the ranks either.

I think he probably couldn't handle the shit that came with the job tbh

One thing I will say about Klinsmann is that he totally changed the way we play. From defence based to attacking. And for him to change how we have played for decades in a few months is remarkable, for this he deserves emense credit.
I only hope this doesn't cause a setback in the change of the German national team.
