Well neither the Portuguese or Ecuadorian player won. So this debate is largely irrelevant now.

sadly sportsmanship doesnt come into any more...the way in which you act on a pitch generally does not affect how well you can play football at all...

I can understand why everyone got on at Ronaldo at first, its nature really to try and place the blame else where....but at the end of the day Ronaldo is no worse than the majority of footballers out there.....you'd struggle to find a player that doesnt dive or cheat in some form....

...all of a sudden everyone is having a go at Ronaldo like he is the only footballer that ever dared to try and gain an advantage illegally.....

Fact is, Ronaldo [as much as I dislike him] has played well in the World Cup.....

But Podolski played better. Ribery was an inspired player for France, which is why it seems daft they've judged it already.

exactly, at the end of the day real madrid aren't going to pay that other small team man utd 20 million because he's naff

he's become the english scapegoat which is wrong, the players and manager have to take the flak for their ineptitude. the greatest game i remember was beating the argies in 2002, owen dived. he dived in 98 too. chalke white dived at wembley ffs
