What I can't understand is why nobody did what Shearer said - go out and rough Ronaldo up a bit. Noting serious, just a nudge here or a knee in the thigh there. He probably wouldn't have been on the field if we'd done it properly.

now I understand i'm gonna get fucking slated here.. but before i start i'd just like to express how much i despise that little fucking portuguese one-trick pony cunt .. however... i don't think he did a huge amount wrong... yes the little wink and smile was completely inappropriate but Rooney got himself in that shit.. no-one else - it was a clear stamp in my eyes and deserved a red card.

At the end of the day we lost to an inferior team because we just didn't have the bottle in the penalty shoot-out.. if anything we looked a more determined team after the sending off.
I think everyone of us would have taken pleasure in seeing a portuguese red card regardless of the circumstances in which it came about.

To be honest I thought and still think it was never a red card. The so called stamp wasn't a stamp and I don't think it was deliberate. Rooney's said it wasn't, I believe him - it didn't look deliberate on the replay.  The push wasn't much of a push anyway, yellow at most. My initial reaction was YOU FUCKING CUNT! aimed at the ref not Ronaldo although he is a cunt anyway.

The irony is if Rooney went down rather than try to stay on his feet he'd probably get a foul against him. I was past caring the day after the game if I'm honest, I even struggled to look forward to the game on Saturday

Ronaldo is a good player but the way he acts on this pitch is everything a footballer should not be. He lacks sportsmanship and he does not play fair.

Stuff rooney, if I was at that game I'd have run on the pitch took my shoe off and hit him in the ging gang goolies with it.

100% agree BR, I think the way some are acting is way over the top.  Ronaldo did nothing wrong, usual thing of looking for a scapegoat.

He's a cheating cunt and has been doing it all tournament, even last night. He's even quoted the referee of last nights game as being "unfair".

England lost because they weren't good enough with 10 men or 11 men, but when you lose you need something to take your anger out on. I disn't see Ronaldo as a scapegoat, but the perfect and deserved way to expel some agression.

Most other countries that feel they 'should' win, react in the same way as the English I bet.

He's not a cheat at all.  FFS get it in perspective, you lot going around crying about him all the time is a little sad don't you think, it just makes you look like really bad losers.  Get over it, last time it was that ref, now Ronaldo...

Did you watch the game last night?

Yes I am whinging about it a lot, but I don't see you ignoring the situation either.

I am a bad loser, who gives a shit. I'm not exactly a happy chappy atm, so I feel a hell of a lot better whinging about insignificant shit to take my mind off things.

Do you want a hug Si-Pi?  Is this what this is all about?  Come on, come here big guy.

To be honest mate, no I didn't watch the match, wasn't impressed with Portugal on Saturday, didn't expect it to be a cracker so I gave it a miss.

Fair play with letting off some steam, it's what it's all about, hope "things" get better soon for you!

I'm not using him as a scapegoat, I've hated the little cheating shit for sometime now.  The Rooney incident was something and nothing, but his general behaviour on a football field for the past couple of years has been nothing short of disgraceful.  If he wasn't so convinced of his ability he'd probably go more unoticed, but he's someone I'd happily see injured and out of football (much like Savage for different reasons).  Ronaldo is not on his own though, the Porto team that played Celtic a couple of years ago were just as bad.
Robben is close to the edge of my anger sometimes as well, but he's a little less of a prima dona to go with his diving.
