On a lighter note, me and STA have been having a bit of banter this afternoon...
I remember when I worked up there, I was round at a Scots colleagues flat one night and we got onto the "which country has done more" conversation.
AS we were on the Scotch this banter went on and on, with eventually my Scots mate running out of the room and coming back in with one of those tourist-y tea towels with "why scotland is great" themes on it.
Proudly standing with it flapping in front of him he says "Thats what we've done!"
To which I said "If ALL your national achievements only just fit a tea-towel..."
Cue gnashing and wailing at yet another stunning England banter victory...

I can't see how the Scots think they win if England lose a World Cup match.... Which one of us has qualified for one in the last 8 years? Which one of us has won a World Cup game IN MY MEMORY (I'm 17!) Its hard to even get remotely worked up because we cannot lose! |
