1. would be disappointed if not promoted

2. wise o'hanlon, o'hanlon because with proper guidance could turn into a great centre back

3. hopefully nicholas will be kept out by vincent so in that case shakes, pace is his ONLY attribute

firstly, i think a top 12 finish is satisfactory but only because i feel this season will be about consolidation, next year will be our title challenge! i'd be disappointed deep down if we didn't go up or at least challenge for promotion but i'm being realistic enough as well.

secondly, i think peacock is going to thrive this season under wise, especially if this fitness regime works. i can see vincent being an integral and experienced part of the side as well. wise, if he plays, will undoubtedly be of a standard well above this division.

finally, jerel will be the weak link in the side unless he actually gets some decent defensive coaching and turns his game around completely. sadly i think that's beyond him, so i'm praying we sign another centre-back.

I think you need to be kicked in the face if you think we're going up next season.

1) top half
2) someone completely unexpected
3) nicholas

I'm don't agree with that at all, and surely it depends on how you thought we'd do before he arrived.  If you thought we'd struggle then getting us into the top half could make him our saviour.

don't tell me what i think, you damned god hippy twat fascist!

i don't understand why he's failed if we don't go straight back up. he's taking over at a club in a transitional period, players have left, players have come in, we have no goalkeepers, he's needs time to get things right on and off the pitch.

Hes been brought in to get promotion and if he doesnt he's failed. We don't have time to fuck about in this division. You don't appoint Wise and Poyet to consildate Div 3 football you get them in to take you up.You cant tell me this so called "feel good" factor that everyone talks about is because people feel  the club might finish top half?

bollocks, you can't pissabout with quick fix solutions anymore. that's what iffy was and look where we've ended up.

oxford have gone through managers almost yearly since they were relegated to the bottom division and they've ended up in non-league, all because their fans had the attitude of "we're going to get promoted" every single season, regardless of how shit they were.

if we don't go up next season - which i doubt we will - then replacing wise & poyet with someone else next summer will just prolong our stay in league 2 and further our demise...

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me I was more pleased by Bill Power's arrival than Dennis Wise's.  That gave me belief that we wouldn't end up going out of business or out of the league, and that a few years down the line we might end up with a club that wouldn't want to settle for league 1 football.  I may be niave, but then my relationship with STFC is often irrational.

Im not listening- Im not listening -Im not listening

If we finish 12 you will be pissed off..I know it ..you know it ..Wise knows it.

If the extent of our ambitions next year are consildation then they players hes managed to sign must be crap.

"come to Swindon were hoping for a top half finish next year it will be ace"

Personally I think your trying to cushion the blow of probable failure for yourself and thats fine

course i'll be gutted if we don't go up, but that's a given surely? i'm just not overdosing on blind optimism, my esteemed friend.

in fairness the players we've signed aren't exactly setting my pulse racing so maybe you're right
