It's gonna be...
Germany vs Argentina
England vs Portugal
Italy vs France
Brazil vs Spain
What does everyone else think? I reckon thats a realistic outcome.

France might have to play Spain in the next round if they make it. The way they're playing can't see them winning that.

Germany v Argentina
England v Holland
Italy v Spain
Ghana v Switzerland
That's if I'm reading my wall chart correctly. I think that Ghana can do Brazil if they can somehow just forget they are playing Brazil and remember that Ronaldo is a fat old man and Roberto Carlos is past it.

Italy play Australia or Croatia in the 2nd round. If they win that, they play the winner of group G vs runner up of group H. Probally France vs Ukraine.

Well even if France win against Togo they may still go out anyway. The only way they can win the group is if Switzerland and South Korea draw and they win by a couple of goals.

France will have 5 points if they beat Togo. Switzerland and South Korea currently both have 4 points. So... Can someone clever work out the possible outcomes?

Well if Switzerland and South Korea draw and France win by one goal, draw or lose France are out but if France win by two goals or more thy win the group on goal difference. If either Switzerland or South Korea win then France need to win to get second. Think that's about it.

If France win and the other two draw, all 3 teams will have 5 points and all would have drawn against each other, so it will go down to goal difference, which really will mean whoever beats togo by the most goals finish top....etc. South Korea beat Togo by 1 and the Swiss by two...so if France win 3-0 and the swiss draw with Korea....then Korea go home without losing a game

Cheers!
I reckon South Korea will win the group and France will come 2nd.
So that means it will be South Korea vs Ukraine and France vs Spain in the 2nd round.

Think we'll have the Dutch as well followed by the Brazilians.

Am I the only one who doesn't think we're good enough to get past Ecuador?

I don't really care. If we want to do well we'll have to beat some of the better teams eventually.

Am I the only one who doesn't think we're good enough to get past Ecuador? Did you see them against Poland? Very impressive they play at a quick tempo and gave them no time on the ball at all. Rested half of the squad against the Germans so there was no real indicator from that game of how good they really are. I think we'll win in the same spirit we beat Cameroon in 90. Outplayed for most of the game and nick it towards the end, should be a lively match though that's for sure.

Yep saw that one....looked hardworking, fit and well organised...especially at the back, certainly a more impressive and sustained 90 mins, than anything we've managed, lets hope that's as good as it gets for them.
