Pretty sure they advise drivers to have a strong cup of coffee if they're feeling tired. Wouldn't make a lot of sense if they stopped service stations selling it at night.

One of the people I work with stopped at the Murco station on the way back from Bristol and they said they couldn't serve him coffee because of EU regulations Cheesy

He could have some fags and a can of Coke though :?

If it's the murco at junction 17, then it's because they hate selling hot drinks.

Wankers.

i once stopped off with some friends late at night at a willesdon petrol station (random)
and i asked the foreign guy at the night pay window if i could have a sandwich from the fridge.
he then told that i did not want a sandwich
i told him that "um yes i do please i would like a plougmans, it's over there i can see it" and i pointed
he replied " no you do not want a sandwich you want spicy food, look, across the road there is a shop go there.
he actually told me what i wanted to eat and refused to serve me.

i actually went back the next day and told the staff that they had a wacko working for them as he was turning away customers and sending them to other shops

makes me think now as im writing this that maybe his brother ran the kebab shop over the road  Tongue we never went there though

that's ingenious.

"sorry sir, no hot drinks after 11pm due to EU regulations"

you're not going to argue with that are you? the good old eu.

i'm scared of going to garages at night in case they're closed and i look weird. those night-pay things seem weird.

It's to do with the new licencing laws, can't remember exactly what but there was a sign in a petrol station near us saying "We can't sell hot drinks after 9pm, don't blame us, blame the new licencing law"...

might not work but would be fucking funny
