The Ghanan keeper was ace in an irratic sort of way. Scared whenever he decided to do anything but still pulled of some amazing shot stopping. Bit like Frank Talia.

I was watching some clueless sports analysts disecting the poor Team USA (god I fucking hate that term) performance today. I can't recall the exact quote, but it went something like "We're a nation of immigrants, so we're more interested in other countries performances results". Of course you are fuckwit. Especially when your own team is over-hyped, and actually not very good.

kuffour tackle was rash but a bit funny. he had a bit of a little spat with his club team mate de rossi over iaquinta injury. i did feel for kuffour at the end. totti played well until got caught with an afwul challenge. the roma boys did well. forza swindon/roma. :scribe:

i was pretty impressed with ghana last night, i was expecting them to be proper crap but they really surprised me. like most of you have said they have the strength & technical ability but are short of a decent striker. appiah & essien played well. the bloke at the front on the right has the best haircut of the tournament so far it looked like chocolate orange segments from the top http://us.news1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/fifa/gen/afp/20060612/i/2619557195.jpg

Surely there should be a FIFA investigation following this match (what with the Italians being involved), I mean, how on eart was that fan allowed on at left back in the second half for Ghana? They must be fuming about that one, esepcially as it must have meant the kidnapping of the original left back who looked half decent. And even when he sneaked on, surely the stewards should have dragged him off the pitch once it became apparant that he wasn't really a footballer.
Thought Ghana looked good in the first half but fell to pices bar the middle two in the second half. That fancy footed midfielder caused them too many self inflicted problems in the second half though, trying to be as good as Essien and Appiah.

Motson and Ian Wright annoy me. Its fair enough somebody being passionate about his country, but the other day Wright said something like 'I don't care about anyone but England' fair enough, but the silly sod is paid to summarise on the match in hand (Can't remember which one it was). Get rid BBC and get somebody decent in instead.

i thought ghana were ace. kuffour is a new legend for me
they should've had two penalties and iaquinta should have a leg amputated
i'm a firm believer in the wops being cunts
