I'm sure Mark Devlin said in an interview recently that it was to be completly relaid after the concert. That's why there will probably be only 1 home friendly this summer.

not really common sense at all after the state the pitch was left in last year

they might not relay it they might just do work on it and hope it's okay very much like last year.

i was just making the point that i thought a little more thought into planning the concert would have been good.

Having seen the state of it last night, they'll have to relay it I'd have thought. It was a bloody mess.

I think Triseros mentioned the other day that they decided to leave in uncovered and spend money on it after the concert rather than spend money on a cover and then find it in a state like they did last year anyway.

Glad to hear it - certainly looked like it had been left, so the assumption would be that was the plan, but then you can never assume anything at STFC. Sounds like common sense has taken hold at the CG. Blimey! Next we'll be getting a pre-season ;-)

I was reliably informed that crack squads of poorly paid illegal immigrant workers were on hand to mop up the  :chunder: in order to protect the pitch.

In typical STFC style, they failed to realise that puke is essentially harmless and probably just an afterthought from a fan from last season

Looks as though they are doing a fair deal of work on the surface.
