and here is a post from bigbobjoylove

"Will he or won't he? More on the Ricki Lambert move from Rochdale - Swindon ....

Ricki's advisor sent me an email last night.

"Rochdale turned down two offers from League One clubs last season for him. Ricki wasn't too happy about that as one of them really appealed to him."

The advisor who didn't want to be named revealed the contract Lambert signed when joining Rochdale had a release clause, which activates when a bid of £175,000 is made.

"We knew Ricki would move onto better things and that Rochdale would be a temporary thing, so we insisted on the clause," he said.

He went on to suggest the chance to play with Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet may also have persuaded Lambert to seek a move.

"Who wouldn't want to play alongside Gustavo Poyet and Dennis Wise? If Swindon make him an offer he's going to listen to what they have to say"

No official word from Rochdale or Swindon about the bid"

They are both IN Dubai, but as far as I know any meeting between them hasn't taken place and is just a rumour.

Where did BigBobJoyLove get that info?

Watching those clips and some others, Rochdale have to be the most annoying team in the world.

They play that fucking irritating song after they score and in most of the clips I've watched you can hear/see them doing that fucking easy chant.

Hopefully he joins us, but the only worrying factor is the £150k fee.  I'd prefer for us to get 3 resonably decent free transfer players (aka Mooney/Cureton style players) then one good striker.  Im guessing the £150k fee would be a high proportion of our transfer kitty/wage kitty.

A lot of those were free kicks....not a lot from open play. There's doubt in my mind, but wisey obviously has people in mind. All we can do is speculate..

I hope it's the first thing you heard. Shakes could do a good job in League 2.

Shakes could do a job on a running track.

As for scoring free kicks, I only remember us scoring 2 last season  Cheesy  hopefully if he did sign Gurns would let him take a few
