Now Dazzza's kindly sorted out my Outlook Express problem; anyone care to give me advice on this?

I can record from my Video to DVD recorder; and it plays back ok on the DVD recorder as well. When i tried to play it back on my DVD player to double check it's ok that machine can't recognize the disks and nothing basically happens.

I guess it could be the disks aren't compatible with all machines; but really don't know.

Main reason I'm asking is because I've got loads of old Swindon videos/footage I want to record from video to DVD and then offer it to people on here who are interested; but I don't want to do it if they get the disks and can't play them; might just piss them off a bit!

So any advice or links to sites which can help/give advice will be gratefully rec'd.

Right it might be because you haven't finalised the disk to be played on non-recording players.

Or like you say the disk type is different. Look in the instruction manual to see what type your recorder can record and what type your player plays. You want to match the types so it works (will be + or -)

Thanks Si Pi. I guess it could be because I haven't been finalising the disks properly; will have a good read of the book that came with it; think I'm using the right disks.

Cheers.
