when everyone's back and available? any of the stand-ins done enough to replace the ashes boys? i don't think so, hence mines the same side as the ashes 5th test.
mine in batting order;
tresco strauss vaughan (c) kp collingwood flintoff (captaincy's not great and seems to have affected his form) g jones (wk- no quality alternative) giles (until panaesar improves batting and fielding) hoggard harmy s jones

Living in the USA I obviously don't get to see alot of cricket. However, your team concerns me greatly as you have 3 batsmen (kp, pc & ff) who are not 'proper' batsmen but are 'swishers'. I'd like to see another batsman who could grind for hours on a poor track if necessary.

is simon jones ever going to be fit again? seems to be suffering from one injury after another.
i like monty, but giles is the better option due to the fact he can bat and field.
don't rate collingwood hugely, would rather see bell

Paul Collingwood a "swisher"? You must be thinking of someone else NHM :?
I agree with Dave's line-up, starting to think Panesar might be pushing ahead of Gilo though.....

I agree with Dave's line-up, starting to think Panesar might be pushing ahead of Gilo though..... No, deffo Collingwood. Failed technic, all bottom hand, bat comes down at an angle. Not a bowler, not a batsman, good athlete with a safe pair of hands. Think thats him ? No ? NMH

Collingwood is a solid bat, provides good foil for KP and Freddie, very difficult to get out. Certainly not a "swisher", if by that term, you mean a Billy Bigshot

is harmison injured or something? in 2004 he was floating around the top end of the world bowling ratings and looked truly unstoppable on harder tracks.
did plunkett get the nod over him or is he out through injury?

good... to be honest i havent been impressed with plunkett or panesar enough for them to edge anyone out. like dave said, as much as i like panesar his feilding and batting aren't good enough for him to replace gilo, and so far plunkett has just looked like a run of the mill seamer who leaks a few too many runs. admittedly i havent seen much of him outside of the internationals though.
definetely harmison and giles please

as much as i like panesar his feilding
Didn't you hear? the reason he's no good is because he's been wearing the wrong contact lense my 11 = anyone who isn't in the team now!
Of course,so you wouldn't have Freddie,who happens to be one of the best players in the world,in your team,right :-))(
