Overseas players are brilliant. Can't see why anyone wouldn't want them. They bring fans through the gate, raise the standard of county cricket so the English players have to improve and they have taught our young players so much over the years (for example strauss says he would never have played for england if middlesex didn't have langer as an overseas player in the 90s)
it is trevor penney the zimbabwean and as for who's idea for him leaving it was trevor penney's. when someone wants to move on to a higher status job then you can hardly blame him or the ecb

no it's not that its just that it prevents future stars coming through! the only reason we have overseas players is because counties just want the coverage and the crowds that come with the stars :-))( in county cricket there are enough spaces for 162 english players to be playing first-team cricket. id rather we had players improving the quality of cricket then old english journeymen lowering it

Mushtaq got all the wickets again and Goodwin and Rana scored the runs at key times. Well done foreign contingent again.

very good game went to it tunbridge wells beautiful ground, well we deserved to lose as we rested 3 or 4 of the first team, too cocky by far me thinks, brought in nash and raynor from the academy giving tham there first starts, they both look useful and may come good, we have a lot to thank peter moores for, great academy and the future looks very bright.
we had 5 players out there under 21. so as i say hats off to mr moores.

Going back to the C&G, we were unlucky with that rained off game at Glamorgan, and only 1 defeat, the first game to Sussex. I wish we had Sussex this sunday actually because the team is actually a really good one day unit. Frashed Essex on sunday in front of a good crowd. But with only 6 more points available and being 3 behind sussex I cant see it at all. Just shows how shit the format is when you can have 1 dodgy performance 1st game and 1 no result and thats the end of your 1 day season til July. What a load of shit. They could at least have a little round robin play off of some sort? North 1st v South 2nd or something? I wish I could go to that Somerset game at Bath, but Il be in Germany. Got a few mates who will be travelling down. We will be there or there abouts in the 40 over league (and have our revenge on the Sussex scum), probably 2nd or 3rd. Having said that, I doubt 'the Middle' will do anything in the Twenty20 and were almost certain to be relegated from the CC 1st division. Mex, that June 16th friday day/niter against Hampshire does look a belter though! Probably the only really 'big' game this competition will produce now, other than the final.

Wankashire  made 317 all out,Mushy got five wickets.Come on the Lankie The [un]mighty Middlesex having lost the toss are bowling,we made a good start, but the Southgate wicket, aka the batting paradise,will/has make it easy to score runs, the Tykes are 131-2,Virgil has made a half century at least
