Where's Sergei Rebrov these days?

Dynamo Kiev.  I think I read that he's made it back from injury to get into the World Cup squad.

Be interesting to see if Shevchenko does the business...I get the feeling that Eastern Europeans don't have a great record in England.

Kanchelskis was alright...

He was class for about a season

No doubt you'll score goals on the pitch

But it's Reds who win European Cups
You fucked it up from 3-0 up

Best attempt at some late night poetry, really fucking hate anything to do with chelsea

Fair point Kanchelskis was reasonable....no just struck me that eastern Europeans so far haven't seemed to impose themselves on English Football....suppose Cech has done well.

Kanchelskis was a class act, he was probably the best winger in the country for a while, but definitely had problems and couldn't sustain his good form. So I think that makes Reg's argument just as sound.

Our Eastern Europeans haven't been up to much.....Miklos Nagy, a Hungarian from the 50's and Petr Mikolanda....

I'm assuming Lukas to be English?

The Sh**ty got in a few,  Vilmos Sebok, who was in the Hungarian squad, but crap in the second tier, and Ion Testimatanu.   Jackie Djakanovski (sp)

Gulp. I hope Berbatov is a bit good then.

Karel Poborsky was another who was dodgy, and then there was Gica Popescu, Ilie Dumitrescu, and i think West Ham had a couple who were shite too...

its not just eastern europeans that turn out to be cack though - there's been plenty of south americans that haven't lived up to anything too:  Forlan, Veron, Angel spring to mind.
