1. crouch proved he should play
2. hargreaves proved he shouldn't
3. lee dixon taunted hargreaves
4. gary lineker taunted hargreaves
5. alan hanson taunted hargreaves
6. the robot dance
7. we beat them commie bastards
8. ian wright accused sven of knowing owens mum and questioned what he actually does. he can't pass, tackle etc. questioned how he has earnt 30 caps. how the fuck has owen hargreaves got 30 caps?!

to be fair, owen hargreaves was crap before the world cup, and he always was crap. but this year, he played like he had a point to prove, which he did. and i think he was our best player this world cup. which says more about our world cup than how good a player owen hargreaves is.

hargreaves' problem is that he's considered a utility player for club and country - jack of all trades, master of none. he needs to get to a club where he can play week-in, week-out as a defensive midfielder so that he can really master the art. whilst he had a pretty decent world cup, i don't think he's either as good, or as bad as people say he is.

Hargreaves was always a good player, just Sven never gave him a decent run in his actual position...
