1) i am a vegetarian as of very recently.

2) if i was in the hypothetical situation i mentioned, then i'd want the medication regardless of whether it was tested on animals or not. i can cope with medical testing, but cosmetics is just sheer pointless.

3) i wasn't accusing you either, nor anyone in particular, but it's one of those things that has become a huge over-generalisation.

1) :fag:  Wink

2) Fair play for admitting it. Would you check if a medicine had been tested on animals before using, if it was for a minor ailment?

3) Yeah that bit wasn't aimed at you but I feel some people may have misinterpreted what I said.

Incidently I am pro animal testing for medical purposes if any of you fuckers really wanna slag off my views  Wink

My objection to the fox hunting ban was what do you do with the dogs? And foxes are pests, you city slickers might deem them as furry doe-eyed puppy dogs but they're diseased ridden savages- end of.

Are you taking the piss about being a vegetarian, seeing as you ate chicken curry 4 days ago?

i wouldn't check no, working in a pharmacy makes medication seem a very natural and normal thing to do when you're feeling rough, ill or whatever.

that's why i said 'very recently', dave. i hope you manage to read those exam questions properly or you won't be going to oxford.

I was against the fox hunting ban because I felt I didn't have the right to tell people they couldn't do it.  Think it should be up to the local comunity if it's aloud. If all the people in the middle of london/manchester/birmingham want it banned then ban it there.

touchy daffyd, are you on the rag?

i live out in the sticks are i can't say foxes are much of a problem. in fact, vandalising little chav scrotes are more of a problem. maybe instead of hunting foxes, they could hunt chavs?

rough day matey, but 48 hours off the ham sarnies doesn't really constitute being a vegetarian yet does it.

I haven't eaten any meat yet today either. Chicken and bacon pizza in the fridge will convert me back from the evil ways of vegitarianism.

don't worry, exams soon. that'll solve everything.

i've wanted to go veggie for a long time, but i've never had the self-discipline to actually do it. i had a bbq on saturday, felt guilty eating nothing but meat so thought fuck it and not touched any meat since. i wouldn't call myself a veggie yet, but seeing as si asked - i wasn't going to say 'no, but i don't eat meat anymore'.

Are marksman used to control fox population numbers? I know that can be just as cruel as hunting because sometimes the bullet misses the target and the animal dies a slow painful death after limping off. Although the video I watched was to do with deer, which is why I'm asking about foxes.

Fair play. If you're going to stay off the meat longer then you're a veggy (even if it has been for 2 days). My mate's been a veggy for 12 years, despite the fact that his family, girlfriend and friends are all meat eaters.

My mother's a veggy but she still cooks me meat  Tongue

i'm of the opinion there cannot be much of a reason for animal testing. to put it basically- animals do not have the save body structure we do, therefore will react differently, rendering any information useless.

cosmetic testing is plain idiotic and i think blair might have dug himself a hole on that front.

unfortunately i have no idea what i'd do in situation 2)  from sonic. thankfully i'm not in the position to have the final say in anyones course of treatment yet though, so i have a few years in which to make up my mind.
