I'd love to see Roberts back & playing well but sadly I don't think it'll happen. Him & Peacock up front would be ace.

McPhee would be an ok signing but only as a back-up player. I'd like to think we could find someone better to replace Cureton (if he leaves)

i'd gladly see cureton leave but if he remains at the club and shows himself to be committed to the cause then i've not got a problem with that. sadly, i can foresee him half-arsedly strolling around the pitch hoping for the odd tap-in.

in which case, i'd get rid and bring someone else in. preferably someone with pace and the ability to play off a target-man style player such as peacock. perhaps roberts?

he is a difficult one. part of me says there's no room for sentiment and we're better off getting rid but if he stays sober and if he gets fit then he might show the sort of form he displayed when he first came to the club. i'd be tempted to keep him.

Cureton is ineffective, he could do is in league one, so he wont be able to in league two.

I agree with the Roberts point, if we can get him back to his best he is what we want in a striker, decent finish....can run at defenders and has pace...something we've lacked this season upfront...

If not Caton is a similiar type of player...but obviously not as built and younger.

If Roberts gets a good pre-season under his belt and gets back in shape he will be an asset....sadly I said exactly the same thing last year and he came back fatter.....

Lukas will do well for us next year, he will be good....hope to see alot of him

Exactly the same on both accounts.

Cureton has the potential to be outstanding but if the attitude and commitment is not there for a full season in League Two then even if it means granting him a move for a minimal fee or even a free then allow him to go sooner rather than later.

The worst case would be for him to start the season with an eye on a move and the disruption of him moving mid-season is not going to help anyone concerned.

Roberts, again has the potential to be priceless in League Two if he can get fit, lose a few pounds and get his head in the right place.  His pace could be devastating; I don’t think he’ll ever be prolific but on form he could be good for a decent return.  It looks like he’s on the upturn and a hearty pre-season can only help.

One player not mentioned is perhaps Shakes who did very well playing for Bury up front in league two last season.  Again he has the pace and if his crossing is as bad as it sounds perhaps he could prove to be more of a menace up front?

Yep.  Definately one who could come up with 15-20 goals a season.  Fingers crossed.

Talking of strikers I ran into ex-Town target Justin Jackson at the weekend he's looking for a new club.

Highest transfer fee for a conference player don't you know.

My ideal partnership would be Peacock and Curo with Roberts out on the wing, leaving McPhee?, Caton and Holgate fighting to get in at any chance that comes.

Like others have said, if Roberts gets fit he will be a menace and we are looking like being strong up front. It just depends how the summer goes for him. I'm expecting a lot of Caton too as he was supposed to be good enough this season before his injury. Maybe the step down will give him a good platform to enter the side before making a name for himself?

On the subject of strikers I was always suprised Daryl Clare didn't do better after scoring about a million goals for chester the season they won the conference. Always suprised that he ended up at crawley and think he's fucked off to someone shit like Burton now.

Think Clare wanted to stay out of the league due to running a business or summit.
