 We used have an old man that lived next door to us called mr brown, he was cool. He used to make popcorn and stuff and he payed my mum to do his shopping . He also asked her to cut his toe nails for him once but thats another story. He's dead now, but I still think he comes to our house to check on us sometimes.

Also not long after my gran died, people in our family said they kept smelling her perfume even though there was none in the house. Quite a nice thing to know really.

I believe that ghosts try and connect with young children. I know of lots of incidents like that.

Young children are a lot more aware of this sort of thing as there mind hasn't been corrupted by TV or alcohol yet. It's a lot more open.

One incident I know, is that my little cousin was 3/4 when my gran died. We would be sat in the lounge and all of a sudden he'd say 'Hi granny' or 'I'm talking to gran'  :?  I was also looking after him one time and I could'nt find him, in the end I found him in the cuboard under the stairs! I asked him what he was doing and he said he was playing with gran. I think for all my family, knowing that it was someone we loved it was not freaky but more nice if you get me.

Something else thats weird that happens often to me is that I'll wake up suddenly in the night and its like I can feel a physical presence right next to my face. Like somebody is there. Scares me so much    But I usually just fall asleep again.
