Yes, I think it's an example of some one choosing their words very very carefully, which of course he should do.

I was watching soccer night the other day and they interviewed Ian Holloway. They asked him whether he had been approached or if he has considered going to Millwall or Swindon, as there has been speculation about him joining either team, but he said that it was unlikely to be either Swindon or Millwall.....So that just about confirms he will not be joining us.

I think people are clutching at straws here. Face it, Iffy will be manager next season.

I personally am glad, as he has done more than people seem to recognise. He got us playing well and got us into good form afetr losing, losing and losing. It fell apart when his key players were unavailable and a club like us can't afford to replace them.

Give him a chance to put a squad together for next year and see what happens with the fitness siuation alongside that.

Thats all well and good r4e, but when you consider Iffys targets for next season you have to question what his ambitions really are.

spot on tails we need a striker and he seems to want to get one with no ability at all..im all for lining up our targets early but surely he should be waiting just a little while to see who else is about..im 100% certain we can attract better than mcphee and benjamin if he tries to get him

He better not just bring in free's like kingy did. We need players who have a reputation to perform and score goals in league 2, and if it costs money then that is what needs doing.

Given the choice I expect any manager would want to spend some money on players. King didn't really have a choice and if Iffy doesn't spend money then we know why - it's not there to spend.

You can't just go throwing money around though.

Trouble is, we can say we want a striker who gets 20 odd goals a season, but we arent the only ones! FWIW I think Peacock will do well next season and will chip in with double figures. You can quote me on that if you want.

I know none of us want to linger around Division 4 but if it takes next season to re-build and then the season after to finally make a push so be it. I just hope we don't end up struggling next season.
