My logic are that England will definately win the World Cup, Rooney is injured so Crouch is almost certain to start every game, so he will score all of our goals. Fact. He isnt almost certain to start though, Sven has even admitted thinking about Joe Cole up top or Steven Gerrard, Both of which are better options... Therefore he'll get his usual camios from the bench.

From Sven's web chat: Robert Stakeford Which formation best suits your squad should Owen and Rooney be unavailable please? Sven-Goran Eriksson TheFA.com If that case arises, we have lots of choices. We can continue with 4-4-2, with Crouch up top and one behind. Or we could play 4-3-3 with Crouch alone and two wingers, and we have lots of wingers. Or we could play 4-5-1 with Crouch up top and five midfielders...so we have options! So he is likely to start and if Owen's fit I'd have thought he'd play 4-4-2 with Crouch and Owen. Joe Cole or Gerrard are fine as a second striker but there's no way we should use them as lone strikers.

Wasnt on about using them as long strikers - can you imagine Joe Cole on his own?!
I was saying that Joe Cole and Gerrard could and possibly will be used as support strikers with Owen up top...

I was saying that Joe Cole and Gerrard could and possibly will be used as support strikers with Owen up top... But if Owen isn't fit and he may well not be, especially for the group games then Crouch is a definite starter. If Owen is fit then Sven should keep Joe Cole on the left and Gerrard in midfield, a non match fit Owen could do with some help from the super hard working Crouch. Of course if Owen and Rooney are both fit then Crouch would be on the bench but it doesn't look likely.

If Owen is fit I'd go with Carrick in midfield and push on Gerrard and Lampard (they could interchange during the game to avoid being easily marked).
I'd do exactly the same if Crouch had to take Owen's place.
Cole on the left and Beckham will obviously fill the right.

I think I'll get an England shirt with Reeves on the back. Then when w go to Germany you'll all be able to recognise us.
That and the large police presence tailing Dave around

I heard he thought he had loads of rooms dedicated to him at the stadia in Germany, but it's just that they write "Crouch" above the doors instead of "Duck" Yeah,"duck" actually refers to the number of goals he'll get in Germany
