Cheesy  If anyone from the club is reading this, pweese can we have an opening day pre season like we did a couple of seasons ago ?

It was brilliant when I went last and really enjoyed the tour of the ground and meeting the players etc, and quite a few people went which suggests something.

Unlikely i think Sonic, i received the agenda for our week the other day and all the games are at night (9:00pm kick off) due to the heat i presume.

The lack of an open day last pre season was just an indicator as to the sort of poor season we could expect, because of lack of organisation at the club.

It was especially important, due to the number of new players.

My favourite open day, was around 94, when in classic STFC fashion, the queue was down past the CG hotel.....Ray Hardman  and Mike Spearman were personally conducting the tour...with parties of about 4 at a time.

When it got to the the players meeting the fans for autographs etc....I was lurking in the suites having blagged my way in...and Joey Beauchamp's bird was literally having to push him out there to meet the fans.

Don't think it was anything more than chronic shyness, form which he obviously suffered  hence the West Hanm thing.

When I spoke to them a few weeks back they did say they were planning on having one towards the end of the summer.

The last open day I remember going to was about 1999. Think I'm a bit too old for it now but still a good idea for the younger fans.

When I went last their were grown men and women having their photos taken with the players!    Some old lady was loving it because andy king had his arm around her.

Is that graz with the blue top on at the end? looks like him.

Last time my sister had her photo taken with every single player, she loved it. I was too embarrassed. I could'nt even get one done with my hero parkin, I went all funny!
It was brilliant looking round the ground though, I never realised they were so many rooms round the back of the arkells. Going in the trophy room was ace, that made my dads day.
