Although my opinion doesn't count for much given I haven't seen a competitive game for 18 months, you're going to get it anyway.

I really don't understand the position of the board on this issue. Rhys is clearly one of our better players and the only senior goalkeeper in the squad. Plus he is a local lad, a supporter and settled in the area. I just don't understand why they have only put a one year deal on the table? Especially with this new investment on the imminent horizon.

If I were Rhys, I'd rightly feel very disappointed with the offer presented, especially seeing as others who performed less well over the season have been offered longer deals, and just having won Player of the Season (admittedly against little competition).

I'd rather he stayed, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he decides to try his luck elsewhere.

I think he's overrated, but ideally I'd keep him.

Can understand his annoyance at a poxy 12 month deal though.

he's a good 'keeper but in some ways, the fact he's had a good season only highlights how poor our defence is. i don't think he's irreplacable but i'd like to see him stay, despite the fact he's got an ego perhaps rivalled only by cureton's, he doesn't get too carried away with it.

Looks like Rhys has been offered a revised deal.

As with most of our players he would be a class act in Lge 2
