....of the first test against Sri Lanka, probably longer. With Harmison looking certain to miss, it ain't looking good. Tremlett won't be stepping up to the plate either, due to injury. Oh dear

looks like saj will be in seeing as he's been withdrawn from the england a game for 'tactical reasons'

i hope lewis or sidebottom get the other spot ahead of plunkett

Just been reported that Jimmy is out for the entire test series and ODI's against Sri Lanka....

Add Vaughan and Gilo to my earlier injury list as well

Lewis in a test match would be utterly inocuous.

I think provided we get the conditions and pitch in our favour, the Lankans will struggle against any half decent seam bowlers.

we need to bring more talent in anyway so for Saj it is a great time to make a test debut! i dont think Simon Jones will ever play for England again, its becoming a bit of a Johnny Wilkinson situation now! i hope Monty plays  Cheesy

apparently saj has been removed from the england a side because he WONT play the 1st Test

its going to be plunkett AND lewis OR broad who will go head-to-head for england a to see who gets the test spot

obviously lewie is a total god but i would love to see borad play. he is a brilliant young player

may i say that my post is based entirely on media speculation and not fact, it is as likely as mahmood bing withdrawn because he is going to play the 1st test and the ecb don't want the lankans to have a look at him  Cheesy

Lewis is certainly giving the selectors a good nudge today - 5 for 41 so far for England A against the same Sri Lankan batting line up that will start the first test next week.
