Mentioned in another thread...

Why not take Ashton to the World Cup? Can easily play alongside Owen, think they would work well as both are natural finishers?

i like ashton and have thought the same myself,just think its too soon for him.
having said that we dont have many striker options so who knows?

ashton is a player i liken to vieri. he's built the same (before vieri got fat obv)

i think he's ace and should go. he gives us something different from the pure pace of owen, bent, defoe etc
