After todays story in the Adver where he's asking to be judged on a full season.  If you were wealding the axe, would you sack Iffy pre season or not?

i wouldn't but i can see him going and being replaced by a heavily balding brizzle lad. yeovil came up with a nice idea of them being joint managers

Maybe see how he does for atleast quarter of the season and in pre-season so we can have an idea of how he does. The only thing i got against him is that he changes the team every match regardless of injurys and suspensions which i don't think he should do. But other than that he does alright.

personally, wasn't expecting much from him, but was very impressed at his attitude.  Until Rotherham (when I am sure that there were various grumblings about contract and stuff going on behind the scenes that he had not much say in) it even looked for a bit like we might finish mid table.  I think he desreves a chance, but also think he clearly needs a bit of support.  Would seem harsh to sack him now, but then football can be harsh.

This season he was put in the deep end, with the resources and the team which was left he has done average. Although we may go down at City, we have the abiltiy to go straight back up maybe with him or Holloway. We havent lost a Derby in 2 years so you never know.  Wink

If we did have a chance of getting Holloway would anyone be against it? I know Arriba is.

I think the dream team is an Iffy & Holloway pairing although I'm sure both would have their own thoughts on that.

I’m certainly not far kicking Iffy out for the sake of it unless there's a ready made replacement lined up with a decent service history willing to step into the fold.

I’d still suspect that if the next two games go badly then there’s every chance the board will seriously looking at moving him.  Possibly back to a youth team development manger role.

If he stays the back room staff seriously need sorting out again ideally with Iffy being allowed to bring in an experienced number two.

yes, but only if someone such as Holloway was to come in. i'd like to see him stay at the club tho, but i'm not sure if he'd be willing to take a step back into the background...

I voted no. Sounds like we're getting a decent size transfer budget (for L2) next year, and i think it would be a massive gamble to allow an inexperienced young manager to splash out. I'm sure Mr Power would rather have his money spent by someone with a little more nous (sp?) in the transfer market. You only have to look at how many left wingers and strikers Iffy bought in on loan in the last 6 months, to see he hasn't got much of a clue what the team needed.

I'd imagine we're a reasonably attractive club to join, after our cash injection. Lets get the right man for the job.

So you should have voted 'yes' then surely? i.e. yes he should be relieved of his duties.

You can see the potential confusion. The actual poll question is opposite to the topic title so if you go in and respond to the topic title you vote for the opposite of what you intended.
