Juan is back in Saaaarf America last time I checked in the 2nd tier of Argie football, Kim there's no trace of at all while the man Van Der Linden plays in the Dutch top flight and has done rather well and is considered a fairly sturdy top flight defender.

I always thought he was quite handy - he seemd to be quite miserable cos his missus hadn;lt moved over here. That and kingy kept chucking him up top.

what about tuomela, raig farr, mcreavey, mchugh - what a terrible team that was. And to think even they managed to stay up. This team ain;t as bad as that, surely?

That team had a manager come in who knew what was required, and was given some resorces to get Heywood and Turbo.

i always thought craig farr looked a quality keeper.
i remember in a friendly against sporting gijon he played just 45 minutes but made quality save upon quality save, including a couple of 1 on 1s.

interestingly that game, we scored in the first minute through royce brownlie who looked a bit of a clown... saying that he's on trial at grimsby at the moment.

as for antoine van der linden i saw him on euro goals about a month back crashing home a beautiful volley against ajax.

I agree about Farr, looked class in the ressies and did well when asked to come in. Like Spud should really have got more of a chance…

So VDL is playing in dutch top flight is he?

i always thought the problem with farr was due to his height and build, he was quite slight for a keeper was he not?

unless i'm mistaken he wasn't too bothered about going professional either.

I alsways thought that king got a bit harshly done on the playing vdL up front controversy. As I remember he was a pretty competent all round footballer, and I'm sure in a post match interview Antoine said that he'd started his football career as a striker.

Always rated him anyway. Could probably play anywhere on the pitch with our current team.
