And there was me trying desperately not to get too depressed today.

Then I read this thread.

Even came back to the UK and was going to go to the game today - bloody glad that I picked up a severe cold and feel like utter shit and couldn't go !

I've saved myself the torture of commentary today. Not that it makes it any better.

Phil King: 'Brentford is not a team you want to see coming to the County Ground when you need a win'

True, the team you want to play is Swindon !

If we beat Brizzle it'll be some consolation if we go down....  I'm going next Saturday, if we lose Walrus is gonna go nuts....   :|

This is unbelievably depressing, every player on the park has problems.  We just aren't good enough.

Nicholas - not committed, seems have his head down the pub
O'Hanlon - too inconsistent, can't distribute
Gurney - continually played out of position, too gung-ho
Ifil - far too unreliable, can't distribute
Shakes - can't cross
Brown - played out of position, has some serious off-days
Miglioranzi - always injured
Cureton - can't hit a barndoor with a banjo
Peacock - always injured

Fucking useless cunts.

Its not fucking horse racing NMH.

Any relationship between STFC and a knackered old nag is merely coincidental.

It is going over old ground, but I respectfully disagree. I believe that a good manager can inherit a shite team and still get results from it. I feel it impossible for him to have got us promotion, but mid-table obscurity was achievable when he took over.

He sounds a good bloke. He was a good servant to the club as a player. I bear him no malice, but I don't feel he is capable of taking us forward next year. However, I suspect he will be given the chance.
