5,000 England in the ground everyday. Saw another Town flag. Its the St Georges with th 3 lions crest and Swindon Town written in Blue letters. Its a regular flag at many England games. It was the only one that was at the ODI's in South Africa last winter. Id like to meet the owner. He was in the Sunil Gavaskar upper at Mumbai (Just to the right of the orange TV screen in the 2nd picture).

The Union jack says 'Bridge Inn Derby', then 'Mumbai 2006, South Africa 2005, Derbyshire CCC' in small letters.

For lovers of terracing. This is Mumbai's other ground. Just 15 minutes walk away.

Yeah the flag was up pretty much all of day one. I did see it a couple of times on the indian TV highlights next morning. I got too drunk the next 2 days and didnt get up early enough to merit taking it. Day 4 it was up until mid afternoon when an indian fielder came down towards it and about 150 grubby indians piled into the fence to chat to him. Day 5 it was up on a divider fence, so no chance of it being on TV.

Mumbai was hot. Dirty. Frenetic. Polluted. Overpopulated. Bit of a shithole in places. People werent that friendly to be honest. And England players took a lot of stick in the ground. But the home support was superb, extremely loud. Suprisingly kept singing/chanting even when England got on top. Only Sachin Tendulkars (the local hero) dismissal seemed to knock the wind out of them. Good bond between the England fans, much better standard of lads than away with the football team. We spent a lot of money going in all the best bars and restauraunts, but our hotel wasnt great. The poverty was starting to piss us off, tens of thousands sleeping rough on the pavements every night (you literally had to step over them on the way home from bars/clubs). Didnt really enjoy the Indian cuisine. Goa was relaxed, perhaps a bit strange (strange mix of people). Dead cheap and a top hotel. The locals were friendly and didnt attempt to rip you off, unlike Mumbai. Found a couple of restaurants that did top, lovely curries. The 10 hour train ride each way in the middle was an experience. Especially the night train on the way down full of England fans.

Had immodium for breakfast 8 days out of 14.
