One for Mark D really after a random thought
Any news on the next overdue set of accounts being released?
Off the top of my head I cant remember what period they are for or how late they are :?
I'm going to guess they might show a loss though

Think we're up to about 2003....unfortunately Sandy Gray gave up smoking at this point so didn't have any fag packets left to write them out on.

After deciding to not be so lazy, the last accounts for Swindon Town Football Company Ltd are for the year ending 31/5/03  Making the '04 accounts fully 12 months late :? The '05 ones are supposed to be filed a companies house by the end of the month:? Mark - I can save my fag packets for Sandy if she wants them

It won't be too long as the auditors left us about two weeks ago. I'll get a better idea from our Financial Controller and post the info here. Sorry I can't be more definite than that.

I thought the last set of accounts was for the year ending 2004 though? That's what I saw on the www.bvdep.com website

To be fair some people on here slate MD but hes on our VERY unofficial site at nearly 11pm at night. Not many people still keep an eye on work at that time I'd agree with your opinion here Asher. Fair play to Mark, he's been given a rubbish hand to deal with, yet he making strides on the PR front. Here's another one for you Mr Devlin. If and it's a big if, if we do stay up this season, are the fans going to be allowed to celebrate this achievement in the traditional way of going on the pitch at the end of the game. It used to be a last game of the season event which was always a nice way to finish off the year. Recently though this "the pitch is private property" stance has gone too far. We realise it's private property but it's STFC's property. All we want is to have laugh and say goodbye to the season. It's much better to do that than clap the players as we do after (most) home games! Come on Mark, loosen up a little!!

If we managed to stay up on that last game, I'd like to see the stewards try stopping anyone. I'd hope the sensible approach would be to just steward off a small section by away fans, although I doubt there would be any issues with Huddersfield fans unless we managed to stop them getting into the play offs or something.

Every other club seems to allow it, remember city v Hartlepool, when their players were stuck on the pitch??? Brighton against us??
But whenever it's us we're treated like idiots, although after sitting through a year like this season they may have a point!
Come on you reds!

The point is it's a criminal offence to go on to anyone's private property. However surely with a bit of good nature involved the club could allow it. If I invited you into my house you wouldn't be trespassing, if you then misbehave I could get you kicked out. Same as in this situation. There's never trouble in end of season invasions, it's tradition!!

Its all about numbers Jan. If half the crowd are on the pitch, STFC cant really ban half its fanbase can it?
Do the club get fined for it, or would they be able to blag it as a one-off oversplling of joy at staying up. fuck me, this is getting optimistic now!

The Stewards constantly tell people to sit down and they don't so they'd have absolutely no luck in controlling the situation if people did go onto the pitch.
Mark D I imagine can't exactly coming on here saying it would be ok if people did want to go on the pitch as it is a criminal offence and someone in his position couldn't be seen to permit it, however, i'm sure the club are well aware of the fans reactions if we were to stay up.
