Victoria themselves made the highest ever first-class score - 1107 in the 1926/27 season. I'll go and find a link

 Highest 1st class score is 1107 by Victoria v NSW at the MCG in 26/27

Back to the current match...

losing denton due to injury was a big blow for the mighty vics but you can hardly blame that completely for 900/6. can't see why allan wise hasn't got much of a look in, he hasn't played since he bagged a michelle pfeiffer against sri lanka in a tour match

Somerset fans must be delighted with Cam White's showing of 4 with the bat and 0/139 with the ball  

at least Hodgey stuck it up the aussie selectors for dropping him with a ton. hope he makes it a twin tomorrow

 Ill complain if I want to...I'd quite happily see convict cricket lapse into a pit of enfeebled decrepitude.

 I'm quite happy to see strength from the other test playing nations, but will  accept pasting the convicts even if they have a team of 10 men and a dingo.
