I thought you meant the former Somerset captain who's just announced his retirement.

so did i Reg

while on about Jamie Cox, he was a quality batsmen and bought alot of success to Somerset such as the c and g trophy...averaged 40 which is pretty good aswell! He was a bit crap in his last season which was a shame but overall, was a quality captain!!

long live the Cox.

Cox certainly restored a bit of purpose and pride to the Cidermen, for a couple of summers.

As briefly did Graeme Smith....shame that the huge increase in international cricket means that we can't get these fellas for longer now.

yeh i know its shocking. we got 2 young aussies which is alright, both spin though so...who knows what will happen there as we need fast bowlers!

Smithy couldn't promise a whole season so they didn't bother which is a shame as he looked quality when i watched him at taunton a few times.

Boxing dude ive never heard of, and boxing i dont like...but he better get gold!

Still some sides get lucky. Gloucestershire have signed the most exciting and devastating (and before you say it, most injury prone) fast bowler in the world, Shane Bond. Can't wait to see him. To balance it out though we've also signed Hamish Marshall who can't buy a run for shit at the minute.

Cox was a good player. Bit of a one man batting line up though.
