Yorke v Beattie on saturday morning. Beattie has played 2 less league games but has scored 10 goals (10 in 21). Yorke has 5 in 23 in the league. That's wrong.... Not sure where you got 5 from but that's totally out it is 7 in the league. Plus 3 in the fa cup, two in the world club cup and one for England, so 13 in total. Beattie only has one other in the cup making 11. Crouchy wins.

Yeah that's wrong. Don't know how they've managed that. He got two against Wigan, one against Everton, one against West Brom, one against Newcastle, one against Fulham and another against Newcastle.
One was originally given as an own goal but later awarded to him.

I think they're both shit-and if we dont have Rooney and Owen on the pitch for 90 minutes in every game we'll be fucked. That's my opinion-but I guess its worthless 'cos I've not been at any games they've played in!

If available Rooney and Owen will start....no doubt, but football is a funny old game and in 66 you couldn't imagine England doing anything without a fit in form Jimmy Greaves.

I'd agree with the fact that they're both shit. I'd pick bent in the England squad along with defoe(obviously along with owen and roons) "waits to get attacked"

We need someone who can come on and cause completely new problems for the oppositions defence, Crouchy does that.

I see what you're saying but i dont feel that crouch is a "world class" striker likely of causing trouble in the world cup. I hope i'm wrong. Bent and rooney are able to hold up the ball and defoe and owen are "out and out" strikers. Really don't feel crouch offers anything vital to this.

I'd probably take all 5 too. If you want someone who can hold the ball up well, Crouchy is your man. He's superb at that.

I thought a usual World Cup squad had 5 strikers anyway... seems a no-brainer.

I think we should risk it and take 1 keeper. Imagine winning the world cup final with peter crouch in goal. would be the best thing ever.
