How do you know if the car was the old man's?  Might be another student's?  Or a young parent struggling to get by and now has to pay to fix their car, through no fault of their own.

It wasn't the old fellas - his house was a bit down the road, plus I doubt this guy can drive with an attitude like his towards car-drivers.  He was hurling abuse before I'd even hit the car, and it was his abuse which caused me to hit the car.

I know two wrongs don't make a right, but I'm a student who's poor - who's going to pay for my car to be fixed due to someone keying it - a deliberate act, not an accident?

This accident comes after someone wrongly claimed off my insurance - I have my no-claims back, but the slightest indescrepancy and I lose it.  Is that fair?  Driving just seems to be a hell of a lot of hassle, I am seriously considering selling my car.  I'm not a bad driver, I passed first time with one minor, I've never had a serious accident, and I generally keep to speed limits, so why should I be done up the bum for a minor scrape that I wasn't wholly responsible for?

cause your car hit a parked car,you are to blame as you were at the wheel, regardless of what the intimidadating grandad did.
you or your mate must have done something for the old boy to go off on one.
you've had your car keyed,so imagine how the owner of the rover will feel when they find someone has scratched their motor.you have insurance for that purpose,to cover damage in accidents

The lady I work with didn't do anything and the old man still went off at her?
(She parked in a space that was perfectly legit)

In Luxemburg, me and 3 mates were taking stuff to the bottle bank and we saw this old guy fall over on his arse (think he had been chucked out of the chinese). We helped him to his feet but he could hardly walk he was so pissed. We were a bit worried that he would fall over again so we kept an eye on him, until he got in his fucking car and drove off!! Apparently the legal drink and drive limit over there is 4 times in the UK, but this guy was legless! (Almost literally!!) :-))(

driving is quite expensive but i just bought a shit car which i could bash up a bit. its a complete state but gets me from a to b.

if you want to fuck people over then go for it, but next time someone does something cuntish to you, don't pity yourself one bit.
