....calm down DMR and Walrus nowt gay here.
A challenge...I'm confident Saturday is the first example of a game v STFC where 2 of the goalscorers have surnames which are the same or sound the same, as clubs which have beaten us. In this case Southall in the cup 1935 and Leicester...well a few in the 80's/90's.
A pint for anyone who can find another.

Alex and Barry - Crewe Alexandra and Barry Town. Loads of folk called Alex and Barry must have scored against us.

Bit worried by Sherwood as in Sherwood Foresters and Sutton as in Sutton United and Junction, but fortunately neither of the Sutton sides have ever beaten us....i

Ian Rush(den) and John Barne(t)s? Not sure we've ever lost to Barnet....but Barnet doesn't sound like Barnes. Carlisle and Charlton....might have happened, don't think so, need the evidence for beer.

There has to be a sheffield in there. Laurie Sheffield must be a good shout for one of them but again that's a complete shot in the dark.
Can we have the same goalscorer if he hits two or does it have to be two different players?
Gray - Grays United allowed?

i thought i was on to something with duane darby but it seems he never scored against us.
same with clarke carlisle, i thought he must've bagged one against us, because he's usually good for a few a season.
again, apparently he never scored against us.

Gray - Grays United allowed? Got to be 2 different scorers..after all Southall got 3. Each case can be judged on its merits....have we ever lost to Gray's Athletic in a competetive game?

Grays United Reg, FA Cup. Tut Tut. 1906 Now sadly no more I guess if you can find a game where 2 Grays....like Eddie and Frank.. scored against us then it would fit.....but 1 Gray like Wayne this season and A.N. Other wouldn't really fit.
